Simple images will rule the Internet world

In the age of Internet, it is much more effective to convey messages through a simple image than to use long, logical explanations. This can be seen in DCinside’s bulletin boards, you can many ideas and visual effects rising as many pictures and articles were posted together. This visual element acts as a great power in moving the crowd of today.

This power of the bulletin board is demonstrated through the explosive sales increase of digital cameras. It can be the critical key point to rule the image in a situation like this. As the general public learned and were exposed to programs and technologies which they could not easily approach, this domain leveled off quite a bit and the control of creators weakened in comparison to the past. All visual technologies and techniques will become more and more leveled as time passes.

In order to rule the image, you will need both processes: ‘creative’ and ‘media’. This is where we can choose blog as a medium. Korean netizen’s point of view on image is world class and the desire for images are substantial. The industry that will grow the most in the digital world would have to be the design industry.

The demise of newspapers should be regarded as the demise of text and logic and the Internet is an undefeatable empire with the influx of multimedia. Then what would be an ideal contents to lure the Korean netizens, who are known for their high taste?

Netizens will show their concern for image over texts, movies over images, so the presentation of contents will be more critical than its substance. Distinction and acquiring prior occupancy will take a critical role in representation that is competitive. Then how should you create distinction? Firstly, to raise the level of perfection to a level above that of images used for advertising. Secondly, to mess it up so much that perfection doesn’t mean anything. And thirdly, do not use a conventional but use a new program.

But the core message that lies underneath should be extremely short and simple. Netizens want something that they can immediately understand the moment they see it. You can’t be a pro unless you can convey the message in that short given period of time.

It is obvious short, simple images are ruling the world of Internet.

The comparison between technology, boasting fast speed, versus sluggish contents

Written by admin on September 27, 2007 – 4:57 pm -

Technology is developing fast, beyond our imagination. Internet technologies, especially, are developing so fast, you can almost see new technologies day after day. Then why must you put in an effort to keep up with the technology, to understand and memorize new jargon in order to survive in the realm of Internet? Where is technology heading towards?

The main purpose people connect to the Internet is the ‘content’ rather than technology although their aim differ from one another. This shows that people’s ultimate purpose is likely to be the contents or information rather than any technology.

In this aspect, you can see that technology is approaching fast and effectively in the direction where it adjusts to an information or contents rather than to force learning and adjusting to machines.

The Web is a space created by engineers, just like the birth of computers and in this space, most people form a network with others. At this very moment, many Web 2.0 terms are introduced; almost all things imaginable are being programmed; and in near future, a new service will emerge that will incorporate email, bulletin boards and messenger services which will change the face of our lives in many ways.

Interestingly, as technology advances, technology will head for men and men will head for contents. The reason we connect to “slrclub.com” isn’t in learning and understanding the bulletin algorithms but in having a communication with various people, which tells us that men connects to contents through tools.

Then why it is hard to find information about contents when there are plenty of technology related information on the Internet? It is because the contents has no limit whereas the technology has specification which the fugure technology can somewhat be predicted. Most industries including that of Movie or broadcasting regard equipments as very important but eventually contents carries a bigger weight which gets to decide the value added.

But the reality is that the development of contents cannot be rapid and are limited by technology. Contents industry is lot bigger industry that goes beyond the boundary of Web 2.0, yet people are only focused on technology.

Contents symbolizes the Golden age of the West. Many people can easily go and easily dig. But not anyone can find the gold and have their life turn around.

Contents, although slow, is superior to technology and has an absolute, indestructible value that lasts.

Do you now see the reason you must focus on contents?

Blog marketing isn’t a method to raise the brand of an individual blogger

Written by admin on September 27, 2007 – 10:52 am -

Blog marketing isn’t a method to raise the brand of an individual blogger.

There is a clear standard in differentiating an amateur from a professional and is by asking the reason they do marketing for; is it for a person or for a firm? In fact, there exists a certain rule in raising the brand of an individual blogger which can be summarized by the how they scrap and organize contents that are related to them, that they like and that they need which are followed by diligent replies and trackbacks.

Of course, more than 90% of bloggers are repeating this process and are currently using this way to increase the number of clicks. Their purpose is the maximize the click figures, so they work hard all over various troll contents, replies and bulletin boards. At first look, it may seem like they seized the world of blogs, but confusion will follow as they verify its search result quality.

But the role of a blog marketer in proceeding a corporate blog marketing is to maximize the value of the corporate as a medium in between corporates and customers. Blog marketer must continually create new values and stories that are product related, but it is most important in this process to create contents for the customers, not for the corporate.

Blog which people don’t turn to have no meaning to their existence and marketing cannot be done in such situation. Therefore, a blog marketer must stand from a client’s point of view and create a content that maximizes the client’s profit in order to draw the customer interest. In this aspect they may confront the corporate PR department because the corporate PR department must act to block all things that may act as a negative to their corporate image which is the reason they must keep close watch on anti-corporate content creation through blog marketing.

But on the customer’s point of view, the existence of a blog that create contents regardless of profit or corporate values are quite gratifying. In fact, such are what makes a blog marketer difficult because blog marketing must incorporate the maximization of customer profit instead of just maximizing corporate profit, which is the reason corporates fail in creating a blog marketing team.

A strategy that brands an individual includes are sining, voice imitations or other personal talents that are produce on UCC or pictures by posting on portals. This is method many bloggers have tried and trying and there is nothing special to it.

Blog marketing isn’t a mechanical process of conveying as is the corporate advertising or its marketing materials through a medium called blog. You must understand deeply that it’s a process of creating a new value by re-processing the corporate and its product and its contents must be concentrated to maximize the value of corporate and the customers.

Let’s ask again.
Where is today’s blog heading to?
